Inventory
Example: sell two units and check stock
Follow a two-unit sale and check stock and receipt. Before Mark paid, verify you actually received payment: the button records the sale and deducts stock; it does not charge or check the bank.
Step by step
- Open “Calendar” from the sidebar.
- Fictional COP case: a care cream has 10 units in stock and a selling price of $ 20.000. The customer buys two during their visit; the agreed service charge is $ 60.000, with no other sales or adjustments. These details illustrate the calculation: use your actual product, price, count and appointment without creating records to copy the example.
- As owner, check the location and open the product in Inventory. Check it is active and that displayed stock matches the units you hold. This example uses COP; in another currency follow your business’s price and format. Changing display currency does not automatically convert amounts.
- Open the correct appointment in Calendar → “Products sold” → “Add sale”. Select the product and quantity 2. Leave “Unit price (optional)” empty to use the catalog price: the preview shows 2 × $ 20.000 = $ 40.000. If another price was agreed, enter the price per unit, not the $ 40.000 line total.
- Check the agreed sale and press “Apply” once. This records a completed sale; the button does not process a bank payment. After success, reopen the appointment: it should show two units for $ 40.000 and, under the example’s assumptions, an appointment total of $ 100.000. In Inventory check stock 8 and the movement removing 2 units.
- Check the receipt separately. In this example, with tax disabled, its total would be $ 100.000. If the business has tax enabled, the document adds the configured tax: check the saved subtotal, tax and total. Do not use the $ 40.000 product sale as evidence of the receipt total or calculate commissions from that sale.
- Another case: the customer reserves two units in the Élite public shop. “Reserved · to charge” is unpaid and does not deduct or guarantee stock; it remains 10 if no other movements occurred. First verify payment was actually received through the agreed method, then use “Mark paid” and confirm. The button records; it does not charge or check the bank. Only a correct saved outcome completes the sale; verify stock 8 if no other movements occurred.
- If a receipt has already been issued, void it through its own action before adding a sale, marking it paid or voiding a completed sale. After correcting, reissue and check the document. Respect stock and appointment blocks; do not change the count or cancel the whole appointment to bypass them.
- If the two units of a completed sale should return to available inventory, use × beside that sale in the appointment and confirm “Void”. Check the voided sale, return of 2 and stock changing from 8 to 10, assuming no other movements. An unpaid reservation is cancelled from Product sales on Maestro or Élite; that cancellation adds no units. Voiding a sale does not automatically refund money.
- If stock is insufficient, another block appears or the result is uncertain, review the sale row, total and movements before repeating. An attempt does not prove a completed sale. In-person selling is available on every plan; the Product sales report requires Maestro or Élite and the public shop requires Élite.
