Mía
Change Mía’s tone and emojis
Choose how Mía writes to your customers: formal, friendly, regional or custom. This does not change the sound of the voice in Help voice mode.
Step by step
- Open “Settings” from the sidebar.
- Check the active location. In “Settings”, open “WhatsApp & Mía” and find “Tone and emojis”. On mobile, scroll the tab row if WhatsApp & Mía is hidden, then scroll down to that card.
- Select a tone. Colombian businesses see “Professional”, “Casual paisa”, “Casual costeño”, “Bogotano” and “Custom”. Outside Colombia, the choices are “Professional”, “Friendly” and “Custom”. Read the examples to choose a style. A previously saved tone may also remain visible.
- For your own style, choose “Custom” and fill “Tone instructions”. For example: “Use polite wording, short sentences and a friendly tone, without nicknames”. Enter 1–1500 characters; this field cannot be empty while Custom is selected.
- Under “Emojis”, choose “Few”, “Normal” or “Many”. This preference is separate from tone and guides emoji use; Few does not guarantee zero emojis.
- Click “Save tone” and wait for “Tone updated”. Reload and check that tone, instructions and emojis remain saved. The “Active” summary changes when you select options and, by itself, does not confirm a saved change.
- The saved style guides new Mía replies to customers on WhatsApp. It does not change prices, hours, availability or existing appointments, and does not resend past messages. It does not change Help’s spoken voice or the wording of approved WhatsApp templates.
- If Save tone is disabled, check that you changed an option and that custom instructions are complete and within the limit. If an error appears, reload and check which values were saved before retrying. To undo the style, select another tone and save again; contact support if the problem persists.
Feature availability depends on your plan and permissions.
