Mía

Change Mía’s name and welcome message

Customize how your WhatsApp assistant introduces itself and greets customers. Editing requires Élite assistant customization access.

Step by step

  1. Open “Settings” from the sidebar.
  2. Check the active location. In “Settings” → “WhatsApp & Mía”, scroll to “Customize your assistant”. This is separate from “Tone and emojis”. If the fields are locked, check your plan: editing this personalization requires Élite.
  3. Under “Assistant name”, enter only a name, using letters and spaces and up to 24 characters. “Introduces itself as:” shows the normalized result. Do not enter commands in the name. Leaving it empty returns the name to Mía when saved.
  4. In “Welcome message”, write a short greeting of up to 300 characters, for example: “Welcome! How can I help you?”. It guides the opening, but Mía adapts it to the customer’s message; it is not a fixed text repeated on every turn. Leaving it empty removes the custom greeting when saved.
  5. To also change how the assistant refers to your team, use “What Mía calls your team” and choose an available option. The default follows your business type. “Review request message” is a separate message sent after a visit, not the opening greeting.
  6. Click “Save” within this card and wait for “Changes saved”. Reload and check the saved values. Custom name and greeting guide new customer replies while the business has that access; they do not change bookings or messages already sent.
  7. If a name or greeting is rejected, use a simple name and a customer-facing greeting, without commands or booking promises. If part of the save fails, reload and check each field: changes are saved separately. If Save is disabled, check that you made a valid change and have access.
  8. To restore only the default name or greeting, clear that field and click Save. “Reset” resets the entire card: name, welcome greeting, review request and team term. Use it only if you want to reset all four; wait for confirmation and reload to check. Contact support if an error persists.

Feature availability depends on your plan and permissions.
