Pause Mía for one customer and reply yourself

Inbox contact pauses and Settings exclusions share one mechanism. Temporary human-reply silence and the whole-location switch are separate.

Step by step

  1. Open “Messages” from the sidebar.
  2. As owner, check the location and open “Messages”. Select the correct WhatsApp conversation and read its latest messages and saved appointment before replying. Inbox layout can vary with the available message workspace.
  3. When offered, press “Pause Mía for this customer” and wait for “Mía paused for this customer”. This pauses that contact until resumed; it does not cancel appointments or pause every client in the location. Reload to verify after an error.
  4. If manual replies are enabled and the 24-hour service window is open, write and press “Send”. Otherwise follow the displayed limitation or reply in WhatsApp Business. Queued, accepted, delivered and read are different; an uncertain result must be checked before sending again.
  5. A manual reply can silence Mía for five minutes. Replies from the phone’s WhatsApp Business rely on its echo reaching Acomply; Web and linked devices do not guarantee that signal. For continued control, keep the explicit contact pause.
  6. For family or staff who should receive no automatic replies, open Settings → WhatsApp & Mía → “People Mía doesn't reply to”. Press “Add contact”, enter the real number with country code and optional label, then “Exclude”. Check the saved list after confirmation.
  7. Inbox contact pauses and Settings exclusions share one mechanism. Resume an inbox-paused contact, then refresh both views: a phone entry added in Settings can remain and must be removed there if intended. Check other blocks or pauses; removal does not guarantee a reply. Registered owner-assistant access bypasses customer exclusions and is managed through owner-number controls.
  8. Resume affects new eligible messages only. Also check the location’s global Mía switch, plan, connection and blocks. A callback request only records that the client needs a human; do not assume the owner read it or that a booking was changed. An already-generated or queued reply may still arrive after pausing; this control does not cancel all outbound messages.

Feature availability depends on your plan and permissions.
