I see the wrong location: switch and check
Save your work before switching locations and verify the name and data after reload, including when returning from another tab.
Step by step
- Open “Home” from the sidebar.
- If the name or data looks like another location, stop editing and check the active name in the top bar. Before switching here or in another tab, finish and verify pending edits in the correct location: switching reloads the page and can lose unsaved work.
- As an owner with several available locations, open “Switch location” and read the label and, when shown, the full name. Select the location and wait for the full load; check its active name and open its records from its own list. The switcher may be absent when only one location is available.
- If you were viewing a specific profile or appointment, switching may take you to “Home”. Find the record in the new location. Switching the view does not move customers, appointments or products; do not reuse the previous location’s record link or number to try to find them.
- If you switched in another browser tab, returning may verify the location and reload this view. Wait before using its controls and recheck name and data. Avoid editing different locations simultaneously in tabs that share the session. In the native app the resume check does not block the screen; still check the name before working.
- If switching shows an error, do not assume the new location became active: reload and check the name before selecting again. If the failed-verification screen appears, use “Reload safely” and check again. If an earlier save has an uncertain outcome, read that record in its location before repeating it.
- A location marked read-only can be reviewed through its available actions; selecting it does not remove that restriction. Collaborators work in their assigned location and do not use this owner switcher. If still unclear, give Help or support the expected location, the displayed one and the warning. Help does not switch locations or move records for you.
Feature availability depends on your plan and permissions.
