Calendar & appointments
Worked example: one future appointment and checking the result
A fictional case shows how to choose customer, service and time, save one booking and separate its outcome from customer notification.
Step by step
- Open “History” from the sidebar.
- Reading example: Lina Example wants a 30-minute Sample consultation with Alex Example tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. in the business timezone. Names, service and time are fictional; they do not establish availability. If exploring in your business, stop before Save.
- For a real booking, use the actual customer, service and professional and an agreed future date. Check your owner account and active location; service and professional must be available and the professional must provide that service. Review shifts and closures.
- Open “New appointment” for one booking. Leave Service already performed unchecked: it records work that ended, not a future appointment. Create recurring plan in the customer profile generates repeat visits; it is unnecessary here.
- Search for the registered customer and check their identity before selecting. For a genuinely new person, “New / unregistered customer” allows a name and optional phone. This example publishes no phone and needs no fictional profile; avoid duplicating existing customers.
- Choose professional, service and date before time. In the example, 10:00–10:30 must fit completely within the shift. If the professional finishes at 10:00 or that range is occupied, the proposed time does not work; choose another available time and agree it with the customer. The date picker displays DD/MM/YYYY; choose the date in its calendar or use the displayed format.
- Review customer, service, professional, date and time again. The app calculates the end from the effective duration for that service and professional; business rules or a professional-specific duration can change it. The example’s 30 minutes do not replace that duration. Save once only for a real booking and wait for the result.
- Reopen the saved record in “History” or “Calendar” and check customer, professional, service, date, start, end, status and amount. Compare a real saved booking with what was agreed. Confirmed on an owner-created appointment does not prove that the customer pressed confirm, or that the service was performed or paid.
- The appointment number and link come from the actual saved record; there is no sample number to search. Use that record to verify the result or ask for help. A customer message or dashboard alert does not replace checking its details.
- The saved booking and customer notification are separate outcomes. Without usable contact details, do not expect confirmation through that channel. Sent does not prove delivered or read. If a message is missing, confirm details with the person through the agreed means; do not create another booking to resend it.
- If an existing booking or conflict appears, open the indicated record or choose another time. If Save fails or the outcome is unclear, first check History and Calendar in that location and date. Retry only after checking the booking is absent; if still uncertain, ask for help with the notice and actual reference.
